| Summer School, Charles Sturt
University, Wagga Wagga Campus 2006:
Students working in the classroom and in the outdoors during the week long Murrumbidgee Summer School at Wagga Wagga.
A smorgasbord of techniques and
painting delights were on offer from Sarah to get their creative
juices flowing. A highly successful and invigorating time was had
by all.

Sarah’s workshops cover an enormous range of media, techniques and styles. Adapting the workshops, she caters for all ages, groups, and skill levels. Her emphasis is on "learning though fun", encouraging individuality and creativity.
Sarah gives one on one guidance as needed, as well as conducting group sessions . She uses a variety of approaches , media and methods within a flexible structure to encourage her students to their optimum capacity. Photographs from Sarah's recent Biloela Workshop:
Her teaching experience includes community art groups, after school "Kid's Art", adult workshops, and specialised workshops for clients with special needs (Blue Nurses respite, & Anglicare support work). Sarah is a full time practising Artist running her own studio from Thangool in central Queensland. She has won many art prizes and awards and sells her work both locally & overseas. Sarah has attended courses at both Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney, and McGregor Summer school, Toowoomba, having won scholarships to do so.
Courses provided : * Drawing (graphite, charcoal & conte) - basic drawing course - can be done prior to other workshops offered. Skill level: beginner to intermediate. * Active Acrylics - covers the use of the wonderfully flexible medium. Suitable for all age groups and skill levels. * Pastels for Beginners - covers the techniques and requirements of this medium, taking the student though all the steps involved in using pastels. Suitable for all age groups. * Intermediate & Advanced Pastels - a more comprehensive look at pastel techniques - problem solving, & transportation & storage of pastel works. (In both pastel classes , additional workshop time can be structured in to facilitate the making of students own pastels.) * Mixed Media Magic This workshop can easily be adapted to suit all levels and covers such techniques as monoprinting, combining different media successfully, glazing, creative collage, masking, and use of more specialised resins. Note - Resin workshop is recommended for more advanced student & adults as some ingredients are toxic.
